Grace O'Brien

 

Grace O’Brien (she/they) is a Disabled, Working-Class Poet, Spoken Word Artist and Multidisciplinary Creative from Rhymney in South Wales. She has performed her poetry at The Hay Festival – The Platform (2025), Greenwich Theatre Scratch Night (2025), The Bush Open Mic (2025) and as part of Battersea Arts Centre’s Beatbox Academy (2025). Her poem ‘A Noughty Oracle’ was recently published in SEEN – an anthology of Hidden Disabilities (Whisky & Beards Publishing). She was a member of ‘Reinventing The Protagonist’, via Literature Wales & Disability Arts Cymru and is on the Representing Wales 2025-2026 programme. She is currently developing her debut collection ‘Rerooting’, mapping her journey of identity through the lens of hair loss and regrowth.
